“This is my first time in Naples, but my family comes from Sorrento, my grandparents lived in Campania. Therefore, I think this 2019 Universiade, the first for both of us, is kind of a return to the origins”. Carolina Jean Sculti, American bronze medallist in 3m springboard synchro diving, together with her compatriot Daria Tabea Lenz, reveals she has learnt some words, but she is not able to speak Italian very well. No doubt about her talent on the springboard. Together with Lenz, she proved her skills during the finals on Sunday, July 7th, where they achieved the 3rd position in a competition dominated by Mexican and Chinese divers. “I am happy with our performance” assures the young athlete, student at Stanford University, just like Lenz, both coming from California.
