“I want to succeed in this sport and also to compete in the Compound at the Olympics one day, if not in 2020 at least in 2028.”
Many athletes dream to take part in the Compound, finally among the Olympic games’ disciplines, as they often remind during the archery finals at the Royal Palace of Caserta. The young Iranian athlete Farzan Kiarash stands out among them. He achieved the silver medal in the men’s team Compound with his compatriot Palizban Mohammedsaleh.
This is his first Universiade and his first time in Naples and in Caserta as well (even if he stays in Salerno). Farzan is a student of Engineering in Iran and his second position, reached during the final on July 12th lost against Turkey, “is my highest sport result so far”, he reveals.
