South Korean women’s team won the gold medal in archery

“Winning in this event is a great honour, but it would be even better if we could be able to participate in the Olympic Games, next year in Tokyo, together as a team”.

You never change a winning team, as the saying goes, and South Koreans Choi Misun and Kang Chae Young, gold medallists in this Universiade 2019, know it as well.

They won a difficult final in women’s team archery, with the Olympic long and curved bow, against the Russian team, during the competitions which took place on the morning of July 13th at the Royal Palace of Caserta.

This is not the first Universiade for the two South Korean athletes (actually, it is their third consecutive edition). In their home country they study “Sciences of Sports and Education, an university course through which I hope I will be able to teach people with disabilities”, reveals one of them.
