A fantastic debut against a very tough opponent. How would you judge your first match?
This was our first match and the first contact with China. There was no specific strategy: this was a trial match. Some girls in the team already have some experience in international competitions, others do not. The strange, albeit amusing thing is, during the game we often switched playing techniques in order to understand what winning strategies could be used in the following matches.
When was the turning point of the match?
The second set, probably, when we understood that our team was a step ahead of our opponents.
Brazil is usually considered one of the strongest teams, also by virtue of tonight’s victory; do you feel you are among the favourites now?
This was a very important victory for the team: if we keep on going like this we can keep on moving forward, but we will also have to confront strong opponents such as Italy, Germany and Canada.
