This was a great race for you, you fought until the end and achieved an extraordinary result. You held out until 1000 metres as you slowly caught up to the others, giving your all in the last 500 metres. Was this your plan all along?
“Yes, it was. The objective was to focus on drafting first, and then to attempt a lunge in the final stage; luckily, my strategy worked. I tried to stick to Johansson as much as I could. The audience’s support was fundamental in this.”
