“At this stage of the tournament all the opponents are fearsome. The Americans especially, they are from another planet, but we will be strong and confident move towards our goal. We will fight until the end”.
The Italian swimmers of the Men’s 400m team relay feel positive and hopeful, after ranking fourth in the heat and seventh in the preliminaries, which took place on July 10th.
The protagonists of the final stage of the Men’s 400m Medley are Emanuel Turchi (backstroke), Federico Poggio (breaststroke), Alberto Razzetti (butterfly) and Ivano Vendrame (freestyle). They are the Italian hope.
For some of them this is the first Universiade, for others it is the second experience after Taipei 2017. The four athletes of the Italian swimming relay team, all born between 1996 and 1999, are university students of Medicine, Pharmacy, Business and Maritime Economics.
